Hamas And The Middle East Democracy Dilemma

Hi peeps. I've been unable to post for a few days because of technical problems,but now I'm back in black- so to speak.

So. Hamas wins the election fair and square in the Palestinian elections- now what? They are certianly not amending thier charter calling for the destruction of Isreal. Maybe later, after the coffers start running dry they may, but it will only be a superficial change you can bet. Same with the Fatah faction who are the moderates?? Whether the agenda is blatant or veiled, you can rest assured the terrorism will continue. They may pay lip service to the Roadmap for Peace but they can't get rid of thier thirst for violence and bloodshed.Where is this Roadmap anyway? The problem is the radical, virulent strain of Islam spreading throughout the world at large. They (the Palestinians)are only too happy to listen to these evil clerics who call for the killing of Jews and Christians and basically everyone who dosen't agree with them.

Hamas is more of this sort. If you're unsure, see the above photos.You won't see those on the Crescent News Network (CNN) Evil is evil, I don't care what political or religious label you stick on it. Teaching first graders it is thier duty to kill Jews by blowing themselves up is evil, plain and simple. Now that the United States has kicked that tyrant Saddam out and had free elections and basically threatened Iran with the same, we have another problem. What if the the terrorist's win the election? Do we tell them, "well that dosen't count, cause the wrong people(Hamas)won." and risk undermining our own efforts. Or say "Well you may have won, but we don't have to fund you or recognise your gov't." I think the
latter course of action will prevail for now. Yes it looks pretty bleak right now for peace in Isreal,unless Hamas sees the light (unlikely) and renounces violence. It will be interesting to see what happens.

In other happenings, Iran is about to be hauled in front of the Security Counsel for blatant violations of the Non-proliferation treaty. I'm sure they don't have much to worry about since China and Russia are unlikely to impose sanctions. But you never know, they may abstain from the vote. One thing for sure, if diplomacy fails two things will happen- You'll be paying $5.00 a gallon for gas and the U.S. or Isreal will strike Iran. Not necessarily in that order. I'm sure Isreal will ask the U.S. to do it for them, since a first strike by the Jewish State would be just what Mr. Adminjan would like to see happen so he could call for Jihaad in every Muslim nation in Asia and Africa against Isreal. Even if we do it, we will risk ill-will from the Shiites in Iraq, who regard their brothers in Iran as, well, brothers. Oh what a tangled web we've fallen into eh? Till next time.

The New Paradigm Shift

Hi Peeps. I hate to touch on heavy subjects all the time, but this is
the End Time Chronicle. And I know that God has charged me with this
task, even if I do get political alot of the time. I see more flak from
Al Gore accusing the President of breaking the law ect. Gee, that never happened on his watch, did it? I can see concern for civil liberties but nowadays we have to balance this against a new model of asymetrical warfare.

We don't fight organized armies anymore, our enemies
hide in caves and kill indiscriminately when they get the chance. They aren't motivated by nationalism but fundamentalism. They don't even care whether they live or die. A dangerous enemy indeed. I don't think it's beyond the Presidents' authority to tap the phones of people who have connections to Al Quieda. I'm not worried about thier rights because they're not worried about mine. Least of all my right to live. They do not play by the rules,and we as a nation still don't seem to get that message, even after 9/11.

The good old days are over people. I almost long for the cold war
again. At least we knew where the Kremlin was, and we had a hotline set up and could talk with the Soviets. At least they cared about thier kids and didn't want a nuclear holocaust. Mr. Ahmadinejad, president of Iran does not care. His brand of Islamic extremism dictates jihaad no matter what the cost. He and his country have nothing to loose if the global economy is shattered, if he triggers a nuclear war. He certianly has less to loose than most countries. He and his people are poor. We are not. We can't function without oil and electricity. They can. We are victims of our own standard of living. Most people in this country don't understand that we are on the verge of a very rude awakening in how vulnerable we are to terrorist attacks, despite increased security. Technology has benefited the little guy who wishes to cause us harm. Just look at hackers and how much money is lost to denial of service attacks and viruses. One guy with a computer can cause major disruptions to banking and communications infrastructure. There are some people (like Al Gore)in this country who are stuck in the vietnam protest era whining about the rights of terrorists when the next attack could very well kill hundreds of thousands of people,through a nuclear bomb or smallpox outbreak. What darn difference will a wiretap make if Boston or Chicago is vaporized in a mushroom cloud? If our water supply is purposfully poisoned? I'm not really going out on a limb at all people, these scenarios are not only plausible, but very likely.

If Iran becomes a nuclear bomb factory, they will not only profit from
selling them to Al Quieda and other groups like Hezbollah they will gain a great victory against the hated Great Satan (that's us) and it's benefactor the Zionist scourge (that's Isreal) See? They have eveything to gain by making nukes and using them against the West and Europe. We had better stop them or we will be the losers. It is a new dangerous world we live in and we'd better wake up to that fact or it will kick us where the sun don't shine.

Judicial Tyranny

Hi Folks. Well the confirmation hearings are underway for Judge Sam Alito and everyone is acting true to character. In the first picture we see the valiant Sam Alito ready to meet the derogatory and snide remarks made by Senate demonrats Ted Kennedy and Charles Schumer pictured below. Whuups. Did I misspell democrat? Oh well, my bad.
Seriously though the whole circus is almost laughable if so much weren't at stake. Recent decisions by the Supreme Court concerning everything from religious freedom to private property rights have really had a chilling effect on our freedom. Don't think so? The dark -robed high priests of judicial tyranny have forced changes in the law that no law maker could have have accomplished, nor would the people ever have supported. For instance, now the government can seize private property including churches if they can show economic benefit to the community.
Not a very stringent criteria to take your house is it? The way polls and data are manipulated nowadays, any big developer could show whatever beneficial economic data he wanted to and seize your house or property or place of worship. Stop and think about the ‘good old boy' network in your local government/board of commissioners. Now they have Carte blanche to seize whatever they want. Home of the free huh? What about that blasphemy against free speech known as the Mccain- Fiengold bill that says you can't talk about specific issues 30 days before an election? I thought that's what democracy was all about. What the heck happened to Mccain in that Vietnamese prison anyway? Did they smack his head against the wall too hard? Has he forgotten what the heck he was fighting for in the first place?
Another example is all the pro-marriage legislation passed by numerous states such as Nebraska.

Basically, the right of the states to pass legislation governing themselves in all things is subject to the whims of activist judges in federal courts and ultimately decided by the Supreme Court. So this means that a council of nine unelected judges can over-rule the President, Congress and you and me, and impose whatever laws they see fit by simply striking down any law they don't agree with. It will continue to get worse unless the make-up of the High Court is changed by Sam Alito or someone like him. I, for one, pray he gets in. America will either stay a free country or turn into a Socialist State with only lip- service to individual rights depending on the next appointment to the Supreme Court. Yes, it's that serious. All your free speech rights,religious liberty, gun ownership (which guarantee's the rest) and rights against warrantless searches hinge on the next appointment. All our rights as Americans have already been severely undermined already, we need to stop it now.

Happy New Years- And All That Nonsense

Hey peeps. Well it's New Years' Eve. Yay. Let's all go out and drink too much and try to pretend next year will be better than last, even though it probably won't. Chances are it will be worse, but anyway, lets get wasted and forget all about it. Honestly, of all the holidays in the year I always thought New Years' was the most ridiculous. Groundhog Day has more meaning and significance than New Years' imho. I'm a Christian now, but I remember even when I wasn't, I used to pretend I was having a good time on New Years Eve with my friends, acting silly because the alcohol and drugs gave me an excuse the next day, in case I did something stupid.
But even if I didn't, time would stop for awhile. Even in my drunken haze, I remember thinking- "I should be happy now- right? I've got plenty of beer and dope. The tunes are blasting,all my friends are here. It's a regular house party. So why am I not happy?" What do you do when the party's over? On January 1st the reality train pulls in to the station with a vengeance and we spend most of the day sleeping in, trying to get ready for work on the 2nd, or, for you hardcore people, a continuing binge session right up until you have to go to bed for work the next day. I remember hating Mondays (or Tuesdays in this case) with a passion. I would endure the drudgery of work all week for the sacred Friday quitting time and the equally sacred paycheck, so I could pay a couple bills and buy my drugs. (Drugs includes alcohol b.t.w.) So I really did some soul searching and figured out I didn't want to live for the sole purpose of earning a check or buying chemicals to ingest. Because basically, that what my life was. The truth bothered me a lot, it really began to weigh on me after awhile. I was trading my hours for these little slips of green paper, so I could trade them in on addictive chemicals and give a few to the utility companies.
I was raised a Christian, I believed in God, but I didn't know Jesus Christ in a personal way. I didn't even know it was possible- it is. I started reading the New Testament in late '96 and read in Romans 10:9 - 9" that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11For theScripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame." 12For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13For "whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." So that's what I did. And I had what I was looking for- PURPOSE in life. Peace. A reason for living, found nowhere else, under no other activity, political organization, relationship or quest. Serving God is the purpose we are here for! My life has never been the same since. To know that the sovereign God of the universe not only loves me but desires fellowship with me is astounding! That Jesus Christ, the Son of God would die on a cross and suffer as payment for my sins is equally astounding! Why should He? He didn't deserve it. But if I ever wanted to go to heaven when I died, that was the only way I was getting in. Certainly not because of my good works. Let's face it, if we're really honest with ourselves, we really don't do a lot of good deeds anyway. I wouldn't want to be judged by that standard. Well, I didn't mean to go on so long, but one thing relates to another, and there's no way to make sense of it without telling the whole story.

Intelligent Design

Hi folks. I've been away trying to earn money for Christmas, but one thing I saw today in the news that I just had to comment
on. A Federal judge in PA ruled that the school board of Dover could not teach intelligent design or even suggest it in thier curriculum. Yeah, how dare they suggest that we are nothing more or less a product of blind chance and circumstances in the cosmos. How dare those people challenge the prevailing wisdom of people who are so smart- they're stupid. Isn't Darwin's Theory just that, a theory? Are we so indoctrinated that we can't express ideas in the classroom anymore? Are we so afraid of the evidence that speaks for itself? Yes, the evidence does speak for itself, if the judges and school administrators will let it. But they won't because of thier own bias. They won't even allow a discussion of ideas, nevermind teaching anything other than Darwinism. Psalm 14:1 in the Bible says "The fool in his heart says there is no God." Just look at the evidence.....

We live on a planet with a complex diversity of interconnected life. The earth is just the right distance from the sun, not too close and we fry. Too far away- we freeze. We have just the right amount of gravity so that oxygen and nitrogen stays but helium and hydrogen leaves. We have an oversized moon to control the tides, absorb comets and asteriods and provide nightime illumination. We have a medium sized star for light, not a red giant or white dwarf or blue star. Are you starting to get the picture? We have trees to give oxygen and shade and wood for buildings and for campfires. And water! How could we forget H2O? Necessary for all life, and there's an abundance of it. It just happened right? Bang! and it all appeared.

Better yet, we as humans somehow got here because millions of years ago, a bunch of proteins got struck by lightning and spontaneously generated themselves into living organisms and became fish with gills and fins and eyes and then crawled onto land and then became reptiles and then a few million more years became mammals and a few million more became apes and then humans. Wow. Sounds ridiculous to me. Assuming that every step along the way, the mutations in the genetic code were beneficial- which most times (99%) they are not. Assuming that the fossil record supports this account- it does not. Concerning genetics, I'm not a scientist but I know that you can breed a dog into a better dog. But you can't breed a dog into a horse. Or a lizard into an ape, or a human. So lets be real, and remember that chaos + chaos = more chaos not a Swiss watch. Unorganized matter floating in space just dosen't decide to form complex living and non-living things on it's own. It needed some help. So give the creationist's a chance, it's no less believable. 'Nuff said.

Christmas - It's Not A Dirty Word

Hi all. Now that the Christmas holiday 100k dash has started, I've noticed something
sinister this year. All of the sudden Christmas is being deleted
from all the big retail stores' vocabulary. Now it's 'happy holidays'. Why is it that we're so paranoid about being politically correct we can't even mention the word Christmas now? Who are the people we're trying not to offend? About 90% of Americans celebrate Christmas, even if they might not be religious. So who cares if some Muslim up in Detriot if offended. This is our country, not Pakistan. Nobody would be offended (I don't think) if I said 'happy Kwanza' or 'happy Ramadan' or even -gasp- 'happy Chanukah' How come we who are Christians can't have a Christian Holiday in our free country without offending people who don't believe. Don't agree? Don't celebrate it. Don't like public prayer? Don't say one.

But don't tell me in my free country, where I'm protected by the 1st amendment that I can't pray, or say Christmas, or even talk about my faith in public. I have rights too. Seriously folks, this kind of stiffling of religious expression in this country reminds me of Nazi Germany. What next? Shut down all the Churches. Put a yellow cross on all of us, and herd us into camps? Think about, how far will these faceless socialists go in their war on people of faith? Answer: As far as we let them. Don't think it can't happen here people, if we are apathetic enough it will. Declare your faith! Rebel against p.c. mania. Raise cain about your Ten Commandments display when the home owners' association tells you to take it down. If they can stifle religious expression, they can stifle political expression too. Practice civil disobedience like Dr. Martin Luther King and refuse to go along with the program. I will. In fact, I'll start right now. Jesus. <---- Look, I said it. And I wasn't cussing! Ha,ha. This is fun. Jesus is Lord! Whoo hoo! Okay. You get the point. Now I'm gonna go CHRISTMAS shopping.

Happy Thanks-giving

Hi all. Well today is Thanksgiving. I trust you all are kicking back and watching the game or napping after feasting with family and friends. I'm in the kicking back categlory. So what's it all about anyway? It's about giving thanks to God for everything we have, be it food, family, homes to live in, whatever. It is not about eating turkey, watching football or early Christmas shopping. Shocked? Most of the country will tell you what they were taught in the secular cesspool of public education, that the Pilgrims were thankfull to the indians for the help planting corn. They may have been, however the they were mostly thankful to God Almighty that they survived the harsh winter and had a decent harvest. The revisionist's don't want you to know the Christian heritage of our nation, lest you become informed and question thier war on God's name everywhere it still resides.

Consider the first Thanksgiving proclamation in 1676 by the governing council of Charlestown, Massachusetts.(I know there is supposedly one made by Gov. Bradford of the Massachusetts Colony but it's authenticity is in dispute) However, there's no dispute about this one. Check it out this excerpt...
"The Council has thought meet to appoint and set apart the 29th day of this instant June, as a day of Solemn Thanksgiving and praise to God for such his Goodness and Favour, many Particulars of which mercy might be Instanced, but we doubt not those who are sensible of God's Afflictions, have been as diligent to espy him returning to us; and that the Lord may behold us as a People offering Praise and thereby glorifying Him; the Council doth commend it to the Respective Ministers, Elders and people of this Jurisdiction; Solemnly and seriously to keep the same Beseeching that being perswaded by the mercies of God we may all, even this whole people offer up our bodies and soulds as a living and acceptable Service unto God by Jesus Christ."

The thing is kinda lengthy but in a nutshell they were thankful to who? - God, through Jesus Christ. Boy, it's a good thing the ACLU wasn't around back then huh? They would've had a fit. How dare a public figure talk about Jesus in a positive way. Nowadays we give thanks to the sponsers of The Macy's Day Parade, the NFL, the turkey, the indians, and everybody but God.
Is it any wonder we're riddled with crime, drugs, gangs, pedophiles, pornography and and staggering load of national debt? Is this a good time to take "In God We Trust" off our money? I think not. Do we think we are any better than the Romans, Spanish,French, and British who all at one time had greatness but lost it in proportion to thier rejection of God? Follow history and notice that wherever the Gospel took root,peace and prosperity followed- Western Europe, England, North America. Wherever Islam went, there was slavery and violence. Any doubters should observe how women are treated in countries where Sharia law riegns supreme. In any Muslim country you go to, you will find the rights of minority religious groups trampled on. Even the death penalty for proclaiming any other faith than Islam.
So anyway, we should all be thankful to the One who deserves it the most for the many rights we enjoy, and the the food we have. God is the one who deserves all the thanks, because He owns it all, and He made it all. Have a great holiday weekend.

Sun Tzu And The Hidden Dragon

Hi again. This is part two of my "sky is falling" rant about the Chinese. I may be
Don Quixote charging off to fight another windmill but these windmills are going to
kick us where the sun don't shine if we're not careful.

We as Americans live in an artifical bubble created from a sucsessful economy, top notch military and geographical isolation from other major powers. The last war fought on our soil was the Civil War, at the very begining of the age of technology. Since then we've fought many wars, all overseas, far removed from our personal, national psyche. The only thing we've seen is photos, videos, and personal accounts. Nobody (I'm guessing) had to dodge sniper fire on the way to work this morning. None of us have had thier house destroyed by mortar fire. None of our family members have been executed by foriegn soldiers in front of us. So, for the last 140 years or so the horror of war has been absent from our shore. Thank God. The problem though, is that people begin to believe that they are invincible, or more tragic, that ideas and words and peace treaties will make all bad wars go away. After all, if we just lay down our arms, and chant for peace at the same time, the world will be free of all violence. Sorry Moonstar,offspring of Woodstock, but it dosen't work that way. Consequentially, our thinking about personal security is a back-burner item, if at all. Most Americans are more concerned about Jennifer Aniston's personal life, sports, extreme makeovers and what color the drapes should be than civil preparedness. All those things will instantly be trival if Wallstreet gets nuked tomorrow or if China invades. 'China invade?' you say. Ridiculous. That's what they want us to think.
The Asian mind does not think like we do. Especially since most of us are mentally asleep. Sun Tzu (a Chinaman) wrote "The Art of War". It is one of the best treatises on warfare ever written. It is read by many modern military commanders in all nations. The following are excerpts from the book...

Where would be the last place we would expect the Chinese to show up? Here. On the west coast. Can you imagine when the first troops roll off the transport disguised as a cargo ship? "Dude, what's with all the guns and tanks?" Pop! "Whoa, such hostility man, you must be from New York." There would be so much panic and confusion, they could have half the west coast in a week or less. If this sounds far- fetched, consider they already know where all our stateside Army,Air force and Marine bases are.(we've invited them to take tours there) They know how our infastructure is setup. Power plants, water facilities, petroleum facilities- all relatively unguarded, soft targets. Consider our military alert system is completely computerized, all they'd have to do is blow up the power plants. No command and control, no phones, no internet. Just the "shock value" of an invasion of our homeland would keep the military indecisive for days. So what should we do?' you may ask. Get prepared. Physically, mentally, spiritually. Whether or not it happens, our leaders have warned us that we will most likely be attacked by terrorists in the near future with weapons of mass destrution, be it suitcase nukes, dirty bombs or biological weapons. Make sure you have the essentials for emergencies, an evacuation kit, a planned meeting place for your family, drinking water. The Dept. of Homeland Security has some useful resources... ..

Get ready

The government shys away from the gun issue but I think if you're at home, it's a good idea to have one for self defense. A pistol of decent caliber (.357 mag, .40, .45, .44 special) or a short barreled shotgun. (a longer barrel can be wrestled out of your hands) The only thing with the shotgun is that you can really tear your house up in the process. One last thing. Practice! A gun is no good in the heat of battle if you don't know how to use it well. Shoot often. The day may come (Lord forbid) when the lives of your wife and kids may depend on it. Crouching Tiger- Hidden Dragon

Hi again folks. Sorry if I ripped off the title for this entry but it was very appro-
priate. The hidden dragon I'm referring to is China of course. Take a look next time you're in Wally-mart or Target and you'll notice most everything you buy is made in China. Cheap labor and the global economy. Sigh. Unfortunately this gives the Chinese alot of sway with American Corporations and American government. Thier tenticles are deep in our nation. The Chinese are not stupid. They put on a happy face for the boardroom and stockpile weapons in the backroom. They've carried on a systematic campaign of espionage against us since the late 70's. Nuclear weapons design and computer technology being the main focus. Here is the latest coup ..

Chinese spy ring

Bill Clinton stood by and watched it happen while he was partying it up in the Oval Office and made money off it too, but that's a whole 'nother story. I should note at this point that I have alot of respect for the Chinese people. But their government is a bunch of murderers as evidenced by the Tiananmen square massacre, thier brutal supression of religious expression and efforts to silence dissent on the internet. Well, here in America I have a 1st Amendment right to air my opinion, God bless America -applause-

Once a commie, always a commie I say whether they are Chinese or Russians. They have pursued a massive modernization program for thier military to make it high-tech. They've no doubt watched us closely in Iraq, noting what technologies work and which ones don't. Of course thier short term goal is Taiwan. We've protected Taiwan since 1979 and the Chinese now have passed the Reunification act, giving them the legal basis to invade with force if necessary. They know they will have to fight us, but do we take them seriously? Probably not. Otherwise we'd be more careful with our secrets. They have repeatedly said they will go to war over this issue. Why shouldn't we believe them? Our military since the end of the cold war has restructured itself into a leaner, more mobile force in order to respond to "brushfire wars" and crises that require swift intervention. To do this, we have many forward bases around the world in countries that may or may not really like us. This kind of thinking is okay 98% of the time, since most senarios require a rapid response of lightly armed forces who can easily outgun thier raggedy, 3rd world foes. However, every so often we have a massive conflict between industrial heavy-weights like WW2 and so on. We are not prepared for this kind of war anymore. All of our troops and equipment are scattered abroad and the Chinese know where it is. We're in Bosnia, Korea, Iraq, Germany, everywhere except here. This excerpt is from the Monthy Review website..

BTW, I don't agree with everything on thier website. But I thought the report was worth noting. Our lightly armed reaction force no longer has enough punch on it's own, without Air and artillery support. You probably saw how it took months to build up enough forces for the Iraq invasion while Saddam sat and watched. What if our enemy was capable of hitting the supply ships before they ever off loaded equipment? Of striking forward air bases and destroying transports and fighters on the ground? Of hitting our carriers with nuclear tipped cruise missles? It's a very likely tactic, now that they've stolen plans for our W88 nuclear warhead. Why fight all those tanks when you can nuke the transport. Heck, you could disguise a civilian freighter or even a fishing boat and arm it with cruise missles and almost kiss the carrier group. Hi folks. Well, I had a couple of things I wanted to write about but the riots in France won out. First, large numbers of "disaffected youth" crammed together in poor areas of the country is a bad start. Lack of integration into French society and job opportunities may or may not be the fault of the French gov't.- I don't know. What I do know is that rioting will not end because French president Chirac gets on the tube and says "we must have law and order." Wow Jacques, is that how you got to be such a dynamic world leader? Such insight. The French never have been good at confrontation I guess, but appeasement just dosen't work. Remember political genius Nevelle Chamberlain who said after being "nice" to Hitler in Munich we have achieved "peace in our time, Go home and get a nice quiet sleep." Shortly thereafter Britain was being bombed very nicely. So also, being nice to the rioters is not going to stop them.

These monsters in Al Quaeda are the same type. Did you see what they did in Jordan in the name of Allah? "Hey, we can really honor God by killing 56 people at a wedding reception." These people who are barely human, will not listen to reason. They sneer at percived weakness, they will not negotiate and they will not quit until someone stands up and points a gun at them. Then they usually scurry away like the rats that they are. The terrorists much prefer unarmed people, especially women and childern.

So, back to France.I would have called in the French army long ago. Well, nevermind, not much of a fear factor there either. Anyway, first flood the area with police/soldiers, get a curfew going, shoot a few people and let them know you mean business. Then address whatever the problem is. In an increasingly violent world, the ability to protect yourself takes on a new level of importance. Just look at the New Orleans situation. Now imagine you're a single mom with 2 kids and the bad guys are busting your door down. No police, no 911 just you and the thugs. Sure would be nice to have a 12 gauge pump right about now. See? If you break it down like that, the police will rarely get to you in time. (I live in the boonies and have seen a 20 minute wait for law enforcement to arrive) Appeasement dosen't work either. So brute force is the only last resort. Same thing in France, same thing in Iraq. Till next time.

uncommon sense

Hi Peeps, no doubt you may have noticed that this is a conserv-
ative blog. But I would like to address an issue that I'm sure will interest liberals also. How come everyone's I.Q. has dropped at a steady rate since the early 90's? I think it all started when we had to put warning labels on ladders saying- "be careful or you could fall" or maybe when that lady sued Mcdonalds because the coffee was hot and she spilled it in her lap. Duh. I can't believe she not only won but won big. Now I know that alot of it is greed and that some people make thier living by suing large companies or organizations but the fact that cases like these are even considered is ridiculous. Are we supposed to believe the person "didn't know" knives are sharp,coffee is hot, skillsaws are dangerous, and don't operate a 30 ton punch press while you're on qualudes? And judges who refuse to throw out this nonsense are just as guilty. I live in the south, in a semi-rual area, and there's a few cultural sayings down here just like anywhere else. One of them would be, if a young man was fooling around with a hammer or any other tool and dropped it on his foot, his dad would look at him squinting his eyes and say "bit ya, didn't it?" In other words we all get "bit" if we act careless with tools,guns,gasoline, yes even a pencil can be dangerous for some people. The solution is not to punish the smart people, but to tell the idiot, "be careful stupid!" Don't ban hot coffee, hammers, guns, or whatever and punish normal people everywhere. .

I'm afraid that this country will never really achieve anything great anymore because 1. The litigation process has ruined innovation and squashed guys who might have done something great but couldn't afford the insurance to cover developement,saftey protocols, ect.
2. People have been so lulled to sleep by a coddling government, liberal education system, and a steady diet of media drivel like Anna Nicole, Desperate Housewives, and Tripping the Riff that they can't think for themselves and want the government to do it for them. (They will be happy to oblige) Here is the message- Eat, sleep, pay your taxes, don't worry about anything, we'll take care of it. Keep quiet, don't make waves. Stay neutered and sleepy. Eat your bread, go to the arena/movie theatre. Clarification

Hi again,
In my earlier post I called Jimmy Carter's attempt at rescuing the hostages back in 1979 "pathetic". I just wanted to clarify that I in no way meant the service men and women who participated and indeed, gave thier lives were pathetic or didn't try hard. I place the blame for mission failure squarely on Mr. Carter's inaction at the outset of the whole crises and of the complexity of the plan in general. I'm sure Mr. Carter cared deeply about the lives of the hostages, but in my opinion, he lacked the decisiveness needed to be the Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces what-so-ever. Anyway, hindsight is always 20/20. Nowadays, I just wish he'd be quiet and go away instead of pandering to the UN and the elitest crowd from Brussels and putting Mr. Bush down every time a crises happens. He had his time in power, and he blew it. Nuff said. Till next time.

Why You Should Fear This Man

Hi folks. Well, it's been a busy week in the news. First off, it's seems like this ridiculous witch-hunt with Carl Rove and the CIA leak is coming to a head. I'd just like to say that this whole investigation has done nothing but paralyze this country's government by focusing attention on something so trivial while we march onward toward armageddon with Iran, North Korea, the Economy, Iraq, hurricane disaster relief and even Brad Pitt's new girlfriend being more important than this stuff. Well, maybe not the Brad Pitt thing but you get the point. Also, Bush dropped Ms. Miers like a hot potato. Seems he can't alienate his own party with so many Democrats out to get him too.

Anyway, to issue at hand. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad the new president of Iran. Most normal people with 2 eyes say he's the same guy who helped seize the hostages in Iran in 1979. Our government says he's not the same guy. That's funny, looks like him to me. I mean, look at the pictures. If that's not him, it's his brother. Many former hostages say, "Yep, that's him." Does anybody remember that in 1979? I was only 11 yrs. old at the time, but it made me angry. And wishy-washy Jimmy Carter did nothing about it, except that pathetic half-hearted rescue attempt. We need to follow the Israeli model for dealing with terrorists. Storm the place, surgical strike, kill the bad guys. Do you know why El Al the Israeli airline never gets hijacked, even though it might be a tempting target? Because all the terrorists know about thier policy. Storm the plane, shoot the hijackers, sorry if any hostages get killed. Anyway, back to Mr. Ahmadinejad. Now, yesterday, he calls for Israel to be wiped off the map. Well, that's refreshing. So glad to see the spirit of reconciliation is alive and well in Tehran. He's not even trying to hide his true colors people. Oh yeah, and he's ignoring the NPT and developing uranium enrichment facilities. Does anyone see a problem with this? In a country brimming with oil like Iran there's no reason they need nuclear energy. None. I don't think even the Europeans are fooled by the "peaceful purposes" line. (especially after yesterday's comment by Mr. Ahmadinejad) As usual, the world government embodied in the UN and other various agencies seems impotent to do anything about it, lest we offend the jihaadists' over there.

Israel has already made noises more than once, that it will not tolerate a nuclear armed Iran and folks they will do something about it. After yesterday,I don't blame them. So, either the western powers do something substantial or watch the Jewish state fire a pre-emptive strike against Iran. If that dosen't touch off a holy war, I don't know what will. I'm sure Washington will pressure Israel to sit tight but for how long? The spectre of a nuclear Iran keeps me awake at night, and it should bother you too. Whoevers fires the first shot(nuclear) will open up a can of indignation that we'll not be able to close again. I think we should, as a last resort, if negotiations fail, launch a whole bunch of tomohawk missles at thier key facilities and if they're underground, send a couple of Special Forces teams in there to blow it up or cripple it. It's that serious. At the risk of beating this dead horse to death, if we allow Iran to get nukes we will forever regret it.

The Iraqi Experiment

Hey again. I usually don't post so close together but there's alot going on in the world. Two things about Iraq I've noticed...
1. You never hear good news when there is good news.
2. You always hear bad news blown out of proportion.
Why? Because most people in the media hate George Bush so much, they'd rather see our troops die in large numbers just to prove his policies are a failure. Most of them are foaming at the mouth by the time they're through talking about the fascist Bush regime.

Well, anyway, there's good news in Iraq. The Constitution was voted on and looks like it will pass. And BTW, the voter turnout was about 60%.That beats the turnout in our last presidential election.They also braved carbombs and death threats to vote. Most people in America can't be bothered if it rains outside, never-mind threats of violence. We could learn a thing or two from the Iraqi people. They know what it means to be in slavery to a mad dictator who kills anyone who speaks out against him. Speaking of dictators, the other bit of good news is that butcher, Saddam is finally on trial. Televised of course so that the Muslim world can't say - "It's a conspiricy, the Israelis' are really in charge." No, we got Iraqi judges, Iraqi lawyers, ect, all out in the open. And they're sticking with one charge of mass murder back in 1982. Witnesses, videotape, signed documents, how-to manuals - well maybe not the manuals. I tell you, if they can't convict him on this atrocity, they won't convict Saddam of anything. Saddam dosen't even deserve a trial i.m.h.o. They should hand him over to the Shiites and see what happens- heh, heh. Anyway, we're better than that, and the days of lynch mobs are over for the west, -sob-. I hope they really put him in his place. Till next time.

Fiscal Solvency - Part 2

"At the current rate of government growth, conservatives will soon be longing for those laissez-faire Clinton years." Since 2001, spending on regulation has grown at over twice the rate of the economy, rising by 41 percent. Agency personnel increases have grown by 46 percent. Homeland Security accounts for some of these figures, but the SEC and EPA, not traditional Republican favorites, have benefited most. Regulatory spending per year saw 2.2- and 3.2-percent jumps under Presidents Reagan and Clinton, respectively, but during Mr. Bush's tenure, increases have averaged a whopping 6.5 percent. Note to the American small businessman: Of the 4,083 regulations now in the legislative pipeline, 789 target you.

The recent $286.5-billion highway bill contained no fewer than 6,371 "earmarks" —literally, gifts of taxpayer money to voters back home. More than anything else, its passage was a profile in collective cowardice: Only eight members of the House and 11 senators voted against this legislative abomination.

Modest proposals to cut the rate of Medicare and Medicaid growth were dropped. Even promised cuts to wasteful federal education "programs," to Amtrak and to public broadcasting, quietly disappeared. In all, discretionary, entitlement and interest spending for FY2006 will exceed $2.5 trillion.

Last month, Rep. Dana Rohrabacher displayed that there's still a conservative movement on Capitol Hill. "Some of us came here to reduce the size of government after the model of Ronald Reagan," he said. To which then-Majority Leader Tom DeLay replied, "[A]fter 11 years of Republican majority, we've pared it down pretty good." Congressman DeLay, if an increase of more than a trillion dollars is "pretty good," how would you define "bad"? Ever-expanding entitlement programs and general government do-gooding threatens the solvency of the Republic. But as egregious as pork barrel spending is, it isn't responsible for the fiscal crisis we face. The ever-expanding largesse of federal entitlement programs—government do-gooding ad nauseam—actually threatens the solvency of the Republic.

Social Security faces collapse in just a few decades. According to the 2005 report of the Social Security actuaries, the entitlement's unfunded liability is $11.1 trillion in perpetuity. That's "trillion" with a "T." To his credit, President Bush has sought to reform the big-government enrichment scheme known as Social Security, though without success to date or much hope in the near future.

When compared to Medicare, however, Social Security's liabilities are a mere pittance. Medicare's total unfunded liability is $68.1 trillion in perpetuity. (If you're not appalled by this number, you're not alone; precious few humans can comprehend the immensity of one billion, much less sixty-eight thousand billions.) And the program could go belly up in just a few years. To lend further perspective to our misplaced Social Security angst, the total indebtedness of the recently enacted (but unfunded) prescription drug benefit accounts for $18.2 trillion—more than one and a half times the entire Social Security liability. Summing up, never let anyone tell you that you're getting free drugs from Uncle Sam. Your grandchildren will most certainly be paying for them."
Yes, it looks like the American dollar will soon be worth less than a Mexican peso. Sigh. Don't you just want to grab these politicans by the lapels and yell in thier face- "WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH YOU?!" Anyway, pray for this country folks, it's our only hope. Till next time.

The Surreal World

Hi Peeps,
For this post I won't bore you with speculation on the Miers nomination, we'll find out soon enough what kind of judge she'll be. I won't talk about the spectre of the Avian flu virus, even though it's a terrible prospect and something should've been done long ago to develop an antedote for it.
No, this time I kind've wanted to step back and call your attention to the big picture. You ever notice how the news is starting to look like one of those reality shows? I read alot of news, mostly on the internet, cause it's not filtered, but I also watch Fox news and occasionally some other network. But the headline stuff is either......
1. unabashed, pop-culture fluff with no bearing on your life, unless you happen to be Paris Hilton.
2. So depressing and unbelievably speculative that you really wonder what is fact and what is fiction. I see alot talk on news shows that revolves around "what could happen" or "what might happen if...." I'm sure this is a result of the 24 hour news syndrome where if it's a slow news day, you have to fill in the time with "something" to keep the ratings up. But does it seem to anyone else besides me how these disasters keep coming one after another? After watching an hour of network news, minus the "what if" stuff, it kinda seems like I'm in a nightmare I can't wake up from. Then I turn the tv off and walk outside and everything's normal. The birds are tweeting, my kids are playing, the sun is out. I keep waiting for the day when those images on the screen will touch me personally. As long as it's on the screen, it's not real or surreal. But one day, the reality monster is going to come crashing into my personal life, and everyone else's. We've created a kind of artificial bubble here in America where everyone has a hard time paying bills (mostly) but at least we're not dodging mortar shells or sniper bullets. That's why there are so many liberals here. Liberalism can't survive in a country where there's real oppression. Where speaking out will get you killed. Where life is a daily struggle to survive. Ever notice there's no protests against the Saudi government? Or in China? (anymore) They just run over you with tanks and then say "I know you saw in on tv, but it didn't happen, let's be trading partners" I'm afraid one day soon it's going to end, and we will end up in a police state or in anarchy. I'm leaning toward the former. We will not be able to bail ourselves out of this one. All of our money will be worthless because of all the debt we've accumulated in our "have it now" society. Plus, we're spending money to restore New Orleans, which should have been bulldozed over in my humble opinion. We're fighting a war in Iraq, Afganistan,we have troops in Bosnia still, the war on terror abroad, domestic security, we give millions in aid to everybody in the world, we send diaster relief everywhere (a worthy cause) not to mention Social Security, the sacred cow of American entitlement but where is all this money coming from? Simple economics says you can't continue to spend what you don't have. Even a tax increase, which would not help the already over-burdened people in this country wouldn't begin to come close to what we're spending. One day soon we're going to have to pay the piper, and nobody in Washington wants it to happen on thier watch. Economic, social, military, and polital problems with no solutions in sight. Kind of like what Jesus said would happen. (Mark 13:8) Till next time, be informed, stay awake. Don't be lulled to sleep

War is the Answer

Hi folks. Been awhile since my last post. I'm out earning a living and so on. We
dodged the bullet with hurricane Rita thankfully, but I'm still wondering how muchthe recovery will cost from both storms. More than I can afford I'm sure. In other news you may have heard about the stupid war protest in D.C. Yes, the same old collection of burned-out Vietnam era hippies in thier wheelchairs and walkers are at it again, along with a new generation of anti- establishment types with more metal in thier mouth than Alcoa aluminum Corp. "Give peace a chance!" and "Get out of Iraq now!" they chant with wild-eyed fanaticism as they loudly call our President "Hitler"and other things I won't mention here.(this is a family friendly blog ;-) I guess they fail to see they really lose credibility when they just go around name calling and whining about oppression all the time. Hey, go live in Iran for a year and then talk to me about oppression. All you liberated women, go to some country like Saudi Arabia where you can't even walk the streets by yourself without a veil on your face and a male escort. Now don't get me wrong, I don't like war either. Soldiers hate war more than anybody, cause we do the bleeding. But also, don't help terrorists like Zarquowi and Bin Laden by feeding Al Jazerra the pictures they like to see. "Hey, the Americans are divided, let's hold on just a little bit longer and we can win in Iraq." Pulling out all our troops would be more than stupid, it would be a betrayal of the Iraqi people, who really want democracy. It would be a betrayal of our men and women in uniform who believe in our cause (and the ones who died already) And it would be a cowardly withdrawal in the face of our enemies that would only encourage them. And finally, withdrawal would leave Iraq in a state of chaos and civil war, ripe as a terrorist stronghold. Yes, withdrawal now is a bad idea (bordering on moronic) and as terrible as war is,it is the answer for now. It never ceases to amaze me how wishy-washy the American public has become. What ever happened to people like Daniel Boone, Davey Crockett,Andrew Jackson, Patton, Eisenhower? Now everytime our country runs into trouble,we run away like sissys. Men who have the guts to stand up for what they believe in are criticized as being too irrational, prone to violence, mal-ajusted, ect. Hey,it's a violent world, and till the Lord comes back we will always have to fight for peace. Till next time.

RFID Technology

Hi all,
I've been pretty busy this week. I've been watching the news, mostly about the Katrina kleanup and Roberts confirmation hearings. This guy has alot of class. If I had to put up with the ridiculous spanish inquisition that this guy had to endure, I probably wouldn't be able to restrain my comtempt for the likes of Mr. "I-know-what's-best-for-you" Schumer -D NY. and other liberal nitwits. BTW, "NO-ONE EXPECTS THE SPANISH INQUISITION!" Sorry. Old joke.
On a more serious subject, I've been studying this new RFID technology for a year or more now and anyone who still gives a hoot about thier freedom in this country better sit up and take notice on this one. This stuff make George Orwell's novel seem like a heart-warming chick-flick. They way e-commerce the internet and the economy is going, it's almost inevitable in some way, shape or form. We had better make sure through legislation that there are controls on this stuff or we'll will all be slaves shortly. Yeah, I know we already are in some ways, but this will nail the lid on the coffin of liberty.
Imagine this if you will, you walk to your mailbox one day, and along with the usual pile of bills, there's a traffic ticket for speeding. Yep, seems that your new license plate, embedded with an RFID chip ratted you out to the State Hiway patrol satellite link and reported your speeding between check points on your way to work. Imagine the drooling going on at the State Revenue office if such a system was set up. I got news for you, it's already in the works..

Big brother

This is just one example, retailers, marketing people, everyone who wants the lowdown on your personal business is hell-bent for this technology. Of course, they will tell you how beneficial it is, and how they respect your rights and would never use this stuff irresponsibly- Ohhh I believe them.

September 11 Anniversary

Well folks, this Sunday is September 11th. I don't forget easy either. You won't
find any apologies for so called American aggression on this blog. No sir.
No talk about how we "deserved" it either. But you will find that kind of talk on alot of liberal and so called intellectually progressive sites who spew crap about how we need to be culturally sensitive and how we need to listen to the U.N. ect. Osama is not culturally sensitive. The U.N. is corrupt and useless.The people we are fighting in the war on terrorism don't want to "talk it over" They don't want to "give peace a chance" either. They do want us to abandon Israel and convert to their radical style of militant Islam and bow down to Allah.
Then they would leave us alone. Weeeell, I don't see that happening anytime soon, so, we are at war. We'd just better decide if we want to win or not. We have so many already in this country (terrorists) and more coming over the border every day that catastrophic bloodshed is only a matter of time. Wake up America! Send these hate- spewing Muslim Imams packing. Or send them to 'Gitmo. Don't let them stay in America. Don't like America?- LEAVE!Take the troops out of Bosnia and put them on the southern border. The Roberts Nomination

Well, in the midst of the Katrina cleanup they are also preparing for
the media circus known as confirmation hearings. This time the poor sap
is judge John Roberts who was already nominated for one slot but is
being nominated for the Chief Justice slot. Mr. Bush hopes he'll be in
for October but I'd be surprised if it went that smoothly despite his
excellent qualifications. The whole process has sunk into a partisan
free-for-all, namely because the liberals don't want to lose thier last
bastion of power in the government, now that Americans have voted for conservatives in all three branches.
Sigh. Seems like the good old days of pacifism, loose morals and
chanting slogans are on the decline. -sob- I guess too many flower
childern aren't as mobile as they used to be either. I think 9/11
showed us what complacency and giving peace a chance can do.
I just hope that they won't start asking a bunch of irrelevant stuff
that has nothing to do with his (Mr. Roberts) judicial abilities, but
you know they will. They can't help it, like any addiction liberalism
is hard to break once you start. Just remember the first step is to
admit you have a problem. =^) Till next time.

On my inaugural post, I'd like to say my thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims of hurricane Katrina. This storm will be one for the record books. From what I've seen on the news, the National Guard is finally making thier way
in to the affected areas and getting food and aid to those who so badly need it. I like to see those gun- toting thugs try to start trouble with the National Guardsmen fresh out of Iraq, carrying
machine guns and grenade launchers! They would be a harder bone to chew than the helpless women and children and elderly they've been robbing and assaulting. People like that should be shot. Anyway, welcome to my blog.
